The Invisalign® Treatment Process

  • A man wearing a black medical scrub, a blue surgical mask, and magnifying loupes with a headlamp, looking downward.

    Initial Consultation & Exam

The doctor will see if Invisalign® is the right choice for you. Using advanced 3D imaging technology, we take precise digital scans of your teeth—no messy impressions needed. From there, we create a detailed, custom treatment plan, showing how your teeth will move and what your smile will look like at the end.

    Clear Aligner Start Appointment

Once your aligners are ready, you’ll return for your first fitting. In many cases, we place small, tooth-colored "buttons" or attachments on certain teeth. These tiny bumps help your aligners grip your teeth better and apply the right pressure to move them effectively. They’re barely noticeable and completely removable once treatment is done.

  • Multiple raised question mark shapes on a blue surface.

    Follow Up Appointments

You'll wear your aligners for 20–22 hours a day, removing them only to eat, drink (except water), brush, and floss. Every 1–2 weeks, you’ll switch to the next set of aligners, gradually guiding your teeth into place.
We’ll see you periodically to monitor your progress, make adjustments if needed, and give you the next sets of aligners. These visits are quick and help keep your treatment on track.

 FAQs

  • Invisalign® might be the appropriate option to straighten your smile if you are free from severe oral health and orthodontic issues. Reach out to our team to schedule a consultation today to learn more.

  • Invisalign® is generally more comfortable than traditional braces, but it's normal to feel some mild soreness or tenderness as your teeth start to shift. The gentle pressure from the aligners encourages your tooth roots to move, which can lead to slight inflammation and discomfort.

  • Taking care of your Invisalign® aligners is easy. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and water to gently clean them and remove any buildup or debris. Whenever you take your aligners out—whether for meals, brushing, or flossing—be sure to store them in their case to keep them safe from bacteria and accidental damage.

  • Most patients are advised to wear their Invisalign® aligners for 20 to 22 hours each day, though your specific plan may vary depending on your treatment needs. Typically, you'll only need to remove them for meals, drinks, brushing, and flossing. Staying consistent with wear time is key—it helps keep your treatment on track and ensures your teeth are moving as efficiently as possible.
